The Tejano Roots Spring Break Camp will be offered at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center in Austin from March 12-16, 2012 from 9am-5pm for children ages 5-12.
The Tejano Roots camp will provide an exclusive opportunity for children to explore the achievements of past and present Tejanos while building artistic skills. The children will learn about Tejano history and culture through specialized activities focused in visual art, theater, music, and dance.

The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center is dedicated to the preservation, creation, presentation, and promotion of Mexican American cultural arts and heritage. The center is a resource for the community and visitors to learn and participate in classes and programs that will foster a meaningful understanding and appreciation of not only Mexican American but also Native American, Chicano, and other Latino cultures. The programs and educational curriculum include the areas of visual art, theater, dance, literature, music, multi-media and the culinary arts.
