This pastorela theater production veers from the past in a more modern version of the journey past shephards have taken to visit the Christ child's birth. It is bilingual, but has many of the lines are in Spanish only without being repeated in English as the classic La Pastorela Austin's former playwrights and directors have done in years past. Change can be good and it is a good theatrical production by some talented actors who bring their talents from across the world to perform 'Natividad: a homemade Pastorela' written by playwright Miguel Angel Santana. This years artistic director is Alex Pedemonte.
