The Austin Latino Theater Alliance (ALTA) presents this year's production of La Pastorela - A Shepard's Story, a contempoary musical comedy based on a traditioal yuletide play from Native Americans and Latino communities. This year, playwright Miguel Santana takes La Pastorela through a different path following a modern day family on their passage through the season with a myriad of challenges in today's society, yet keeping with the theme of good and evil. Santana, along with this year's Artistic Director, Alex Pedemonte, present 'Natividad:a homemade Pastorela.'

Cast members of the 2011 production include returning actors Karla Longion, Lupita Marsh and Diego Villarreal; new to the production are Tina Rodriguez, Trini Martinez, Daniela Ruiz, Diana Saucedo, Diego Molina, Karina Dominguez, Rodrigo Lloreda, to name a few.

The play will be performed at 8pm, Thursday thru Saturday, December 1st- 17th, $15 for adults/$10 Seniors/Students at The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, 600 River St. (78701)
